Dentoerntic Clubs Reorganized In? der tlie New Rules Promulgated by the Recent State Convention. The Sumter County Democratic Executive Committee met in the court houso at noon Monday, pursuant to the call of County Chairman J. H.I Clifton, to define the club districts of the several clubs of the county and to make provision for the enrollment of the Democratic voters of the coun? ty in clubs, as provided for in the new rules of the party. All clubs were represented by their executive committeemen, except1 Reid's club. The committee got down to work immediately upon being call? ed lo order, the roll call showing that a quorum was present. The only question that provoked tiny discussion was the construction of the rules in reference to the loca? tion of club districts in respect to township lines. It was decided that the rules required that the club dis? tricts be confined to townships?that a club district could not be made up of territory partly in one township and partly in another. As a result of this determination it was necessary to consolidate Manchester club with Reid's club, under the name of Reid's club, with its voting place at Greenland Savannah school house, sud to order the organization of a new club in Manchester township to bo known as Manchester club, with its voting place at old Manchester de? pot. The old Manchester club was composed cf members living in Man? chester and Privateer townships, with its voting place at Greenland Savan? nah school house, in Privateer town Hhip, and there was no club located in Manchester township. Action was also taken ordering the reorganisa? tion el Salem club and the OhangC of the voting place from Boykln's store to Salem school house. The club districts of all the clubs were defined and their boundaries were fixed by well known natural and easily identified lines, and an enrollment committee of thre* mem? bers was appointed for neon, oluh, When this work had been eomwleted tb??- committee adjourned at 4.*j<? p mv to lnt-.-i ;?t ?-all chairman. At the. next meeting arrangements for the county campaign will he made and the assessments on candidates will be Jlxed. Plenty Niet?
