regularly received.

able opportunity for securing a winning number of votes. The
contestant* who awake to a realization of the fact that NOW is
the great vote-getting time of the contest and that NOW Is the
time to make oneself safe on getting an automobile with no cash
outlay, will ue the ones who carry away the plums when the
judge* canvass the final count of votes in the contest.
The few subscriptions that have hitherto been turned In will,
of course, count on tlie bonus, no matter what other vote* they
may have been turned in to secure.

The first unlimited Vote-Getting Period of The Daily Item, The
Watchman and Southron and Merchants Contest is announced today. It
lusts until the 30th. of this month und is known as the FIRST BONUS PER?
IOD.
During this period EVERY CLUB OF $15 IN SUBSCRIPTIONS to
either The Daily Item or The Watchman and Southron will count for ISO,
000 EXTRA VOTES over and above the regular scale. All subscriptions,
either old or new whether to The Dally Item or The Watchman and South?
ron will count on the bonus.
It Is not necessary to turn in clubs in even amounts of $13 each. At the
end of the FIRST BONES PERIOD, APRIL I0TH, the subscription
amounts of each candidate will be totaled and a certificate for 150,000 ex?
tra votes issued for every $15 in subscriptions. Tills offer applies also to
the few subscriptions that have been turned In heretofore.
These extra %Ote certificates count up so rapidly that the main Issue of
the contest will practically be decided by w!u?t the candidates do during
this period.
Tills Is positively the largest offer of extra votes that will be made any
time during the contest. Now is the time to create a reserve vote. Un?
der no circumstances will the BONES PERIOD be extended or repeated.
