They are to be given away on May 31st, the closing
day of the contest. They will hold these prizes until
that date and will award them to the eight ladies hold?
ing the largest number of votes.
But, at present there are more prizes to be
awarded than there are active i candidates. That
means that someone is going to receive one of these
beautiful prizes with little or no effort. There is op?
portunity galore for five or six more active candidates
?five more candidates can take up the work of secur?
ing votes with almost an absolute certainty of win?
ning one of the prizes. And here is another thing?
the most important point of all?the point at which
the energetic and opportunity seeking people will
start their campaign. It deals with the big ballot
printed below. This ballot is good for 10,009 Extra
Votes, but there are some conditions attached to the
securement of it. Here they are : First, this ballot is
not good after this week. Second, it has to be ac?
companied by one subscription to either The Daily
Item or The Watchman and Southron. 1 he subscrip?
tion may be for three months or as lotig as five years.
Third, but one of those ballots will be credited to
each lady.

to start their campaigns with a good number of votes to their
credit, and will put them on an equal footing with the few who
have already started their campaigns.
