From the Daily Item. May 14.
Ed Miller, colored, who lived with
his wife on North Sumter street, in
the vicinity of the jail, terminated a
family row this morning by drawing

his wife. Two of the bullets found
the mark. One lodged in the wo

wound, and the other struck her in
the back just above the shoulder
blade, and, ranging upward, lodged
in the side of the neck. Neither
wound is regarded as necessarily fa?
tal, but the woman Is suffering a great
deal of pain.
After shooting the woman Millet
attempted to escape by way of the
back lots. He concealed himself un?
der a house, but was discovered and
arrested in a short time after the
shooting. He was committed to jail
where he will be held to await the re?
sult of the woman's wounds.
