the filthy wastes, which all physicist
will agree, should be immediately
oarried off, aod not be permitted to

domiciles.
Life sod health depend upon right
ly understanding and carrying oot
those sanitary works (which go to
prolong life and sustain health.
Pore air, pure water and nutritious
food, are the three great agents for
promoting life and heslth. Air,
carrying decomposing matters, con?
veys to the human system a specific
poison, whioh lowers the vitality,
aod thus renders tbe system very
susceptible to diseases
After the digestion and assimila?
tion of food, producing nutrition

should remember that drainage is tbe
removal of storm wster from the

Io the "combined system*' all of
the three operations above stated are
fully accomplished by one system of

the speedy removal of waste eub

pipes, laid with open joints for agri

plan in eeouring a speedy removal
end disposal of the principal mattere

fall, there will be built to receive the
crude eewage, a small reservoir, with
two oompartmeuts well ventilated
and separated by a wire mesh work
