The Hebrew Lecture Hall on tbe comer of
Church and Republican atre-Ms was prettily
decorated yesterday in honor of the festal
ceremony to be performed there : the mir

mony was performed and the organ stand ad

white. The inside of the pretty little hall
boned like a sylvan bower, with the polished

of green vine. Behind it the rostrum looked
like a fairy nicbe from a 6priog forest.
Toward 6 o'clock the hall commenced fill*
iog with people and when that hour arrived

en were present. Io tbe ante-room, to one
side, tbe darker facej of other interested
friends appeared.
At precisely six o'clock the organ was
beard playing tbe wedding march from
Lohengrin, aod Miss Rytteoberg, oo tbe arm
of her father, and preceeded by ibe ushers,
walked up tbe aisle At tbe altar tbey were
met by tbe groom, Mr. Strauss, and bis best
man, Mr. Abe Weinberg, of Camdeo. All
was simplicity, there wad no long train of
bridesmaids, there was no maid of honor, oo
flower girls. Rabbi H. W. Scbneeberg, of
Baltimore, an unole of tbe bride, was wait
tog at tbe altar. He first addressed some
appropriate remarks to tbe bride aod groom,
and then, in low, earnest tones, performed
tbe Jewish marriage service. Tbe cup of
wine was druck by bride and groom, aod
then tbe frail glass was shattered on tbe floor,
according ,to tbe long prevailing custom at
Jewish weddings. Rabbi Scbneeberg pro?
nounced tbe benediction, in Hebrew and in
English, and tbe ceremony was over. As tbe
organ pealed forth, a smiling couple retraced
their steps down tbe aisle.
Tbe ushers were Messrs. G. L. Ricker,
Isaac Strauss, Mordacai Strauss and Louis
Lyons. Mies Amroie Tetcber preetded at the
organ.
Tbe intimate friends of tbe contracting
parties w ere entertained with a reception at
the home of tbe bride from 7 to 9 30. Tbe
hooie was tastefully decorated with flowers
and greens. Light refreshments and spark
ling wines were in profusion, and tbe bright
