Accidental Shooting. I
Jake Brown, a uegro hotel waiter, was ac?
cidentally shot last night by another oegro
named Willis Peterson, the ball striking iu
the region of the liver and stomach, and
lodging in the back. He was taken to the
Baker-Dick In?rmary where the ball was
taken out. The wound is a serious one, bnt
be stood the operation and is doing as well
as could be expected this morning. Tbe
shooting occurred on the street, somewhere
in the neighborhood of tbe railroad crossing
of Main street. Particulars, further tban that
it was claimed to be accideotal, could not
be obtained.

youth they were discharged after being
reprimanded.
Sam Bracey and Charles R. Fleming were
up for failure to work on the 6treets, after
doe notice. Both were allowed another
chance to do the work.
Marshall H Fields arrested for t'king
water from a Water Uo. pipe without consent
of the company. P!e9d guilty, but claimed
that he did know he was doict? wrong. Was
