facts io connection with the finding of the

The body wns found on Friday by i?o
negroes who were buntitg in tbe swamp
about oiiJway beween the Camden Junction
and the tirer, near Beech creek. Tbe hudy
was lying in a cane brake abeQt a hundred
yards trom the railroad treck. The man bad
evidently been dead for several months?

a summer suit and summer underclotbing.

they were scattered around on tbe ground for
ib*? space of eight feet or more, and it vas
difficult to tell anything about tbe size of tbe

good quality and apparently almost new.

and bis pistol were lying. One of the bottles

num. None of tbe chambers of tbe p stol
bad been discharged. No papers of any kind
or other articles that might serve to idectity
the body were found, aod there were no
means of discovering who tbe unknown
stranger who took hit own life in tbat lonely
spot was or where be came from.
Magistrate Keiley held an inquest over the
remains on Saturday, but ae there wee no
evidence except that of the negroes who dis?
covered tbe remains, tbe verdict was rr ere y a
statement tbat a wbite man, name unknown,
came to bis death on a date and in a mancer
unknown to the jury.
