Big Deal in Real Estate.
The heirs of Capt T. B. Johnston last
week sold tbe Monagbao Block and tbe Bo?
sendorf building, tbe latter now occupied by
tbe Poit Office, tbe Cash Grocery Store and
several offices, to Gapt. R Q Pierson; the
consideration being $29,000. This is tbe
largest deal made in real ?State in this city
for several years, and shows in the most tell?
ing manner tbe substantial confidence that
our own citizens have in tbe falue of city
property. Gapt Pierson is known as aeon
eervative and careful business man, and tbe
investment of such a large sum of money in
Main street property will tend to stiffen val
uei aod create greater confidence in tbe future
growth and prosperity of Sumter.
