The Watchman and Southron now has the combined circulation and influence of both of thc old papers, and is mani? festly, the best advertising medium in Sonorer m Toe ret aro of Dr. J. A Clifton and Ile? W. A Kelly to their oharges in ibis city has been received with satis faction and thankfulness by the mt cu? bers of the two Methodist congregations and their maoy other friends in other d?nominations. They hold a high I position io the esteem and love of this community and they are welcomed back to Sumter. The reelection of Dispensers Keanes, of this city, Baker, of Bisbopvillr, and Smith, of Mayesville. for another year is a well merited testimonial to their fitness for the positions they j occupy and the satisfaction the? have given, both to the county board of eon'rol and the public generally. TBE STATE GRANGE. Annual Meeting at Bishopvil?e j -The Officers Elected. B?8hopviIie, Dec 9.-The State Grange of Soutb Carolina held its 28tb annual session here the 6th and 7tn inst Nearly every grange was represented aod much interest man? ifested by those presen. The meet ing was very interesting and instruc tive throughout. Worthy Master W.
