Dick, who has beeo ill at bis parents' home in Charleston ever since the First Regiment returned from Jackson? ville, was able to go to Columbia and was mustered out of service with the regiment Friday. Tba deal for the Rowland property bas been closed and titles for tbe property executed to tbe company by Mr Rowland Deeds for tbe rights of way from the Wateree River to Green Swamp have been executed by tbe landowners along tbe line, and the rights of way from tbe Rowland property bave been granted and titles giren by tbe city of Sum? ter and tbe Sumter Cotton Mill to tbe limits of the city. The road will follow Factory Street from tbe People's Ice Factory through the property of tbe cotton mill to the sou? J western limits of the city. From tbe limits of tbe city to Green Swamp options have been secured for the right of way and the titles are now being executed.
