Mr. J. A. Schwerin, deputy for Trial Jus? tice Manning, arrested James Bracy. a negro charged with malicious mischief, on Monday. Bracey resisted arrest and it required six men to secure him. A razor was found on his person, consequently he was brought befor. Trial Justice Manning on three counts : ma? licious mischief, carrying concealed weapons, and resisting an officer. Un the first two charges he was found guilty and sentenced to serve thirty days in jnil on each charge. He was bound over in the sum of $500 to answer the ch*tge of resisting an officer, at the higher co ir? Bracy is an ex-co?vict. The Teachers Institute. The Board of Examiners met on last Fri? day aod decided to hold a Teachers Institute at some convenient and suitable time during the Summer. Pocahontas Tribe, Red Men, about'one hundred strong, accompanied hy quite a crowd, went down to Charleston to-dav on the first annual excursion.
