The harmony of married lifo depends

More and more we hear the excuse
for neglecting personal attention to
religion, that 'there are so many in
the Church whose lives are wrong.' lt
is unfortunately true that there are
many tares among the wheat. It is
lamentable that in some cases there
seems to be no way to prove their true
character so as to get rid of them. It
is still more lamentable that in some
cases preachers and official members
will leave stoners in the Church rather
than go to the trouble that must be en?
countered in the faithful exercise of
discipline, But 'what is that to thee ?*
Shall you neglect your duty because
some one else neglects his ? Are you
ready to appear before the bar of God
with the excuse you are pleading here ?
Let us serve God in the sunshine
while he makes the sunshine. We shall
then serve bim all the better in the
dark/ when he sends the darkness. It
is sure to come. Only let our light
be God's light, and our darkness God's
darkness, ?nd we shall be safe at home
when the great nightfall comes.
