Girl Scouts at Indiantown.
The Girl Scoyts, Troop No. 1, Indiantown,
held an ail-day meeting at r
their camp, "Poola-Plum" on Saturday.
There were twenty-two Scouts
present. They cooked their dinner
over the camp fire and ate heartily.
It was a glorious meeting1 as it was
the first experience of the kind for
most of the rirls. The Tenderfoot
Test was given to three new members
and Tenderfoot badges were
awarded to Marie and Ruby Snowden,
Nellie Bartell, Laura Lovett and Hattie
Brooks Lovett were elected patrol-leaders.
Captain Lee A. Lovett sent the
General Service Code alphabet and it
was received perfectly by a number
of the Scouts.
The troop is just two months old
and has made wonderful progress.
The next entertainment that will be
presented by this troop is a play, "The
Doo-Funny Family," to be given at ,
Indiantown school house in a fewweeks.

Carolina Baptists is in session at
Rock Hill this week.
