The Kinestree Electric Light and
Ice Company is laying the foundation
fbr a large new oil burning engine
which is expected to arrive this week.
With this engine Mr. Adams, manager
of the company proposes to replace
the present system of generating
steam with coal and wood. In view
of the high price of coal and the exhorbitant
freight rate on this commodity
this change is being made for
the sake of economy. '

schools. Too much cannot be said on
this subject in Williamsburg. Our
schools are a disgrace to us. It is
a shame that because children live
in the coujitry they must be content
with poor schools and lack of modem
equipment. If we ran our farms on
the same principle, where would agriculture
be today?
We hope in this campaign to secure
the better cooperation of patrons.
Mothers and fathers are too prone
to think schools are entirely the affair
of teachers and trustees. We hope
to arouse each parent in this county
to make an effort to do all in his or
her power to make the school in their
community a better institution.
These are some of the aims of Education
Week, and your support' is
