Drainage Bonds for Sale
The commissioners of the Kingstree
Swamp Drainage District are advertising
for sale bonds issued to carry
out this great drainage project which
will materially affect the counties of
Williamsburg, Florence and Clarendon.
Proposals are also being called for
for the construction of drainage canals
within the district. The commissioners
are Messrs. W. E. Nesmith,
chairman, Kingstree; J. C. Young,
Lake City; and J N. McKenzie, Cades,
R. F. D. The bonds amount to $225,000
and are of $1,000 denominations,
maturing one-fourth in 1932, onefourth
in 1937, one-fourth in 1942,
and one-fourth in 1947, bearing interest
at the rate of 6 per cent. Sealed
proposals for carrying on the work
will be received until noon, October 4,
1922.
NOTICE.
I have been with Mr. T. E. Baggett,
jeweler and optometrist, for the past
week at his place of business in Kingstree
testing eyes and fitting glasses
and find that Mr. Baggett can do this
work satisfactorily, fitting patients
with the proper glasses when needed.
