Rome, Aug. 22.?Mrs. Wilson Buie
and son, Wilson, Jr., of Merchantville,
N. J., are visiting relatives here.
Mrs. W. T. Turbeville spent a part
of last week with her daughter. Mrs.
Harry Wilson, near Kingstree.
Dr. P. S. Thomas of Great Falls is
visiting friends here.
Mr. and Mrs. W. T. Hemingway of
Hemingway and their guest, Miss Mildred
Lumley of Greenwood, were visitors
here Sunday.
Miss Louise Snow is at home after
spending three months with her sister,
Mrs. Wilson BuTe in Merchantsville,
N. J.
Little Miss Lillian Faddy of Hemingway
spent last week with her aunt,
Mrs. Cary Koiiins.
Rev. and Mrs. G. K. Way and daughter,
Harriet, are spending this week
with Mrs. Way's parents, Mr. and Mrs.
H. B. Floyd, at Floydale.
Mr. and Mrs. Jeff Rollins of Johnsonville
spent Sunday here with relatives.

spent the week-end at Cades.
F. R. Hemingway, Esq., of Kingstree
spent last week-end with his
mother, Mrs. A. B. Hemingway.
Mrs. A. E. Hill and daughter,Louise,
have returned after spending three
weeks with relatives in Timmonsville.
Rev. C. C. Derrick, Presiding Elder
of Kingstree District, preached at
Union Church Sunday morning.
Quarterly conference was held at Good
Hope church in the afternoon.
Thad Hill is visiting relatives in
Timmonsville.
Col. and Mrs. Holmes B. Springs
and children have returned to their
home in Greenville, after spending
some time with relatives here.
C&pt. Spencer A. Legette of Camp
Dix, N. J., arrived here last week to
spend some time with Mrs. Legette,
who is spending the summer with her
father, Dr. L. B. Johnson. The trip
was made by automobile.
Mrs. Grady Willis of Florence visited
her parents, Mr. and Mrs. E. W.
Yates, last week.
Mrs. Jim Rolilns of Indiantown and
Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Rollins of
Atlanta, Ga., visited relatives here one
day last week.
Capt. and Mrs. Spencer A. Legette
and daughter, Ethel, and their guest,
Miss Elizabeth Hurt of Petersburg,
