The Baptist Southeast association
met here Tuesday. A good attendance
was present and the meeting was
a highly enjoyable occasion. Lunch
was served the ministers and delegates

his home near town. The host sent

balloons, and each guest was given
a balloon as a souvenir of the happy j
occasion. About twenty-four young- j
sters enjoyed the attractive party. \

LEWIS DISHER SHOT
DEAD IN SWAMP
YAS THERE WITH HIS BROTHER
LOOKING FOR HOGS WHEN
MURDERED.
Lewis Disher, a farmer, about 40
rears of age, who with his brother
vas ia the swamp looker after their
logs last Friday morning, was shot
ind killed in the Mouzon section of
;his county by an unknown party who
s su posed to have been in the swamp
ryin : to steal hogs. The dead bodily

lis brother, who heard a shot fired
n the vicinity where he supposed his
irotlier to be, and knowing that his
irothor was without a gun he hur ied
to the place where he heard the

There he found his brother dead

ndicating that it had just been killed.
Several arrests have been made,
