ready for Thanksgiving by laying in

The school children, by attending
school last Saturday to make up for
the extra day, have holiday from
Wednesday until Monday.
Mr. W. I. Nexsen and family have
returnee to Kingstree from Asheville,
N. C. They will spend the winter
here as usual, at their home near
P.* town.

Recent rains have increased the flow
of water ir. Black river within the
past week. The water in this stream

the little grand-daughters of Mr.
and Mrs. J. T. Sexton. The little j

Mr. Fred P. Wolfel of New Cannon, ;
Conn., arrived in Kingstree yesterday ;

Clerk of Court J. D. Britton has
recently had build on the courthouse (

Mrs. Geo. R. Grist and her three
children left Kingstree Tuesday for t
Charleston to join her husband who
holds a position there in one of the
printing establishments. They will
take up their residence there. ;

Mr. H. J. McKenzie has moved into
the Swann house at the corner of
Academy and Mill streets. Mr. Wat- \
son, who formerly occupied this residence
has moved his family to George- ]
town where he has employment. j
