the motor. Mr. Asher reported that
no water was put In the radiator from
Oudtshoorn to Port Elizabeth, which
are at opposite sides of this hilly country.
Describing parts of the trip and commenting
upon the appalling road conditions
In places, Mr. Asher says thgt
after plugging and struggling through
almost Impassable roads, a river was
encountered which had to be forded.
K was necessary to take the plunge
with the car Into a swift torrent, so
deep that he could not open the car
door. The radiator was partly submerged,
but the car plowed through
successfully.
