The Lane School
Editor County Record:
Mr. Lewis, the state supervisor of
schools, gave the Lane school a black
eye in his report, and as a patron of
the school, I concur in what he says,
only tie does not go into tne matter
quite as deep as he should. 1 have
been a patron of the school for seven
years. I have only known the county
superintendent of education to visit
our school once, and then he came by
special invitation from myself and one
of the trustees to settle a little matter.
Now, one other matter I would like
to call our County Superintendent of
Education's attention to: we should
have three trustee; we alive one.
In numbers we have three, one lives
in Florence county, and the other one
is our county senator, and his family
is living in Columbia. It is a doubt
in my mind if they have a legal right
to sign a pay check for the teachers.
Pay your taxes and take vhrt is
handed out to you. Taxpayer.
