HOG HAS NERVOUS COLLASPE i
Bird Hunting Porker Had Been Left
Near Fowl for Three Days.
Natchezj Miss., Feb. 5.?The famous
bird-hunting hog owned by Tucker
Gibson. widely known Louisana huntsman,
has suffered "nervous prostration"
and is in a serious condition, according
to its owner, who recently
brought the hog here from Louisana
to train for the Springfield trials.
According to Mr. Gibson, after the
field trials, in which he felt assured
his porcine phenomenon would make
feood in competition with the dogs entered,
he had intended exhibiting the |
hog in vaudeville, and with this enu
in veiw had secured a number of birds
to be employed in the act. Mr. Gibson
left home for several days, leaving
the birds in a cage. On his return
he found the porker had located
the birds and had been "pointing"
them continuously for three days and
nights. The intense mental strain, together
with the fact that the hog had
not eaten during that time, he said,'
brough on a general collapse."
