The temperature at this place has remained around 30 degrees the past twenty-four hour* with a light rainfall, slightly freezing. It is authentically reported to The , Record that during the past season Mrs. Parnell, who lives in the Central community, raised a flock of seventyfive turkeys which she shipped and sold for the splendid net sum of $234.15 during the recent holiday season It is possible for every lady fowl raiser in the county to raise a flock of turkeys. There is big demand for this particular bird everywhere in November and December. v * Meadors- Gordon Thursday afternoon January 20, at ' the home of the bride's brother, the Rev. Morris K. Meadors at Blacksburg, Mr. Alex M. Gordon, Jr., of this place was quietly married to Miss ----- v ik. Ruth Meadors. ine onae is uu youngest daughter of the late Rev W. P. Meadors, and a sister of Mrs A. C. Hjnds of Kingstree and a charming young lady. The groom is the oldest son of Mr. A. M. Gordon of this place.
