yet to be heard from. Some of ther
had not received the printed supplie
in time to make an initial movemen
last Saturday. Approximately $200
000 was subscribed in the counties re
porting. This includes 13,731 bales o
cotton. Some of the big cotton countie
like Spartanburg, Sumter and Orange
burg, have not reported. Anderso
county reports $8,000 in subscription
Calhoun reports $3,000 and 768 bale
of cotton. Other States are taking u
the organization in earnest and Gover
nor Manning is feeling more hope
ful every day.

chest, and his wife has been o

result of Mr. Harley's wound.
It appears that Mrs. Harley a
