i The prettiest peaches we have had
. the pleasure of feasting our eyes upon
! for some time were brought to The
| Record office this morning by Mr.
M. A. Shuler and presented to the editir
as "prima facie" evidence that this
splendid fruit can be grown here in
Kingstree as well as in Georgia, Virginia
or elsewhere. These peaches are
i of the Ambrosia variety, large,
smooth, of beautiful color and delii
cious flavor. The tree from which
i they were taken was set out by Mr.
. Shuler two years ago, and from it,
; he is confident that he has gathered
. two bushels this season. As an ag|
riculturist, Mr. Shuler has already esI
tablished an enviable reputation, and
j now seems to be quite as successful
as an orchardist.
