The office of the Supervisor of
Registration will be open on the 1st
Monday in each month for the purpose
of registering any person who
is qualified as follows:
Who shall have been a resident
of the State for two years, and of
the county one year, and of the
polling precinct in which the elector
offers to vote four months before
the day of elction, and shall have
paid, six months before, any poll
tax then due and payable, and who
can both read and write any section

with the Governor of South Carolina,
signed by more than one-third of the
qualified electors of a certain portion
of Williamsburg County proposed to
be severed from the County of Williamsburg
and annexed to the County
of Florence, embraced within the following
lines, to wit:
All that portion or section of the
County of Williamsburg, South Carolina,
containing forty square miles,
more or less, and bounded at present
on the North by Lynches Lake Swamp
to its confluence with Lynches Creek
and then said creek to its confluence
with the Pee Dee River, the saic
Swamp and Rivers being the southerc
boundaries of Florence County anc
the Northern boundaries of Williamsburg
County, then com
mencing at Brown's Bridges of saic

That the said election shall be helc
and conducted under the same rules
and regulations as provided by law
for regular and general elections
That the commissioners of electior
shall appoint managers of election as
provided for by law, who shall be
sworn before entering upon the discharge
of their duties, and shall open
and close the polls as provided for by
law.
The managers of election, when the
polls have been closed, shall proceed
without interruDtion to count and tab
ulate the same; they shall make a
written return of the number of votes
cast for and against the proposed annexation;
they shall sign and certify
to the managers the result of said
election, the same, together with the
ballot box, ballots and poll lists, and
everything else pertaining to said
election, shall be by them forthwith
turned over to the commissioners of
election as required by law; that the
commissioners of election for each of
said counties shall, in accordance with
the law, tabulate the vote and declare
the result of the election, and make
due and proper return thereof to the
Clerk of Court of their respective
counties, to the Governor of the State,
and to the Secretary of State, in all
of which careful and detailed compliance
with the law is enjoined and
ordered.
