He had tried all drink cure institutes
in the State without success. At
times the derelict burst into tears
while telling his story and cried as

Captain Ellis listened to the tale,
but had heard so many like it that it
made little impression. Hpwever, he
noticed that the man was above the
average and resolved to give him a
