were altogether 98 cows on test, 89
Guernseys, and 30 Jerseys and 29 Hoi-!
steins. Of these 39 qualified for the !
honor roll by producing 40 pounds or

steins.
The top-notch producer of all cows
tested was Sweepstakes, a Holstein,
owned by H. B. Jordan, Ridge Springs,
yielding 2,196.3 pounds of milk and
75.64 pounds of butter-fat. The second
place went to another Holstein,
Agricola Cremelle Belle, owned by J.
K. Mayfield, Denmark, with a yield
of 1892.55 pounds of milk and 66.96
pounds of butter-fat, though three of
his other Holsteins, Snow, Mollie and

Third amoung all cows tested, and
first honor among Guernseys, was
won by Imp. Roc. Hampton Fanny,
owned by R. M. Cooper, Wisacky, with
a production of 1522.5 pounds of milk
and 64.05 pound of butter-fat.
The two Jerseys on the honor roll
are owned by C. B. Whitney, Beaufort,
the best of these being Harmless of
iCloverdale, with 884.9 pounds of milk
and 43.09 pounds of butter-fat.
By comparison with the February
testing records, the above figures
! show decided imorovement. since the
total February honor roll was only
25 as opposed to 39 in March. The
March record shows 18 cows producing
|over 50 pounds and 4 over 60 pounds
of butter-fat as opposed to 12 and 4
respectively for February.
The Guernseys on the honor roll
include 8 owned, by J. L. Mcintosh,
Dovesville; 1 by J. M. Erwing, Darlington;
2 by C. S. McCall, Bennettsville;
