NOTICE OF ELECTION
Notice is hereby given. that pursuant
to an order of the County '
Hoard of Education of the County of !
Williamsburg. State of South Caro- j
lina. the Undersigned, as Trustees of
Ox Swamp School District Number 10,
of said County and State will hold
and condu t an election at J. L. Foxworth's
store in the said district
County, and State, on Saturday, the
10th, day of January, 1920. for the
purpose of submitting to the qualified
voters and electors of said School
District residing therein the question
of levying and collecting an annual
tax of (?) mills on the property
in said School District, which tax
shall be used to supplement the taxes
ow collected in said School District
for school purposes; that for the
purpose of said election the polls will
be opened at eight o'clock in the forenoon
and closed at four o'clock in the
afternoon; that at said election only
qualified electors who return real or
personal property for taxation and
who exhibit their tax receipts and
registration certificates as required
in general elections shall be allowed
to vote, and each elector favoring the
proposed levy shall cast a ballot container
g the word "YES" printed or
written thereon, and each elector opposed
to said levy shall cast a ballot
conta;ning the word "NO" written or
printed thereon, and the undersigned
-hall act as managers of said election,'
and the same will he held and
conducted in the manner prescribed
by Section 1712 of the Code of Laws
of South Carolina. Volume 1. 1912.

All parties between the ages of 21
and 60 years, inclusive,are liable, unless
exempted by law, to a poll tax
of $1.00,-also to a commutation tax
of $2.00.
Upon all unpaid taxes after December
31 a penalty of lty will be
added for January, 1% for February
and 5% to 15th day of March next,
after which the books will be closed
and executions issued upon all unpaid
taxes.

taxes, so as to avoid sending the
wrong amount, also stating the township
or townships (if property is
owned in more than one) and if pos*
sible give school district where property
is located After paying taxes

your property is covered; if not, see
about it at once.
By following the above suggestions
complications and additional cost

adopted by the stockholders of the
Farmers Live Stock Co., Incorporated
under the laws of the State of South
^ Carolina and doing business at Hemingway,
S. C., at a meeting held on
December 5, 1919, authorizing the
said corporation to increase its capital
stock from Five Thousand _$5,000.00)
dollars to Thirty Thousand
($30,000.00) dollars, and permission
being: granted by the Honorable Secretary
of State, notice is hereby given
that books of subscription to the
increased capital stock of the Farmers
Live Stock Co., will be opened at
the office of \V. C. Hemingway &
Co., at Hemingway, S. C., at 11:00
o'clock A. M., on January 0th 1920.
Said increased capital stock of $30.000.00
will be divided into six hundred
(600) shares of the par value
of fifty ($50.00) dollars each.
