Besides the equipment for grading,
there are four large panels on which
are mounted colored photographs and
charts showing different phases of
i * federal grain supervision. One of the ^
panels tells the story of grading and JK
sampling wheat from the moment |
the grain sampler enters the car

Analysis of the sample is made. An- I
other panel pictures standardized |j
equipment for grain inspection offices J
and shows equipment adopted for I
use by country buyers. Then there is 5
? a panel carrying samples of wheat
and flour, and the results of 'milling IP
and baking tests, that show how II
t floor yield decreases as the test
weight of each grade of wheat de- B|
creases. 1^

does not actually grade grain at terj*
minals?it only supervises the grad- ;
ing, which is all done by licensed j
. " grain inspectors. |
The exhibit at the fair grounds includes
a panel of photographs telling
about federal grain supervision, which J
serves to check up inspectors at ?
large terminal markets and see that
they are applying the proper grain
grades. A
, Recent complaints of the federal
wheat grades as applied at country
gf.. points and in intrastate shipments
some times overlook the fact that the ^
department of agriculture has no*ju
risdiction over country point trans- I
actions, because federal supervision 1
applies only to interstate shipments.
Hen, too, the wheat grades are operating
under an abnormal market- jg
ing system with fixed prices, while jj J
the federal corn and oats grades are 1 ,
& applied under a more open and com- i
* petitive market. However, the bureau g
of markets has assisted farmers and f tl
others in installing equipment to If cl
cra/h? thfor cram at country Domts
and will make analysis of samples j|
forwarded to local supervision offices, g
Anyone interested in grain grad- ^
ing can get all the information about ^ f
how it is done by visiting the depart- 1
ment of agriculture exhibit at the Jt

fine with a hearty appetite for breakfast.
Eat what you please?no danger.

This new Mitchell Six is our ideal of a
fine car after 16 years' experience.
We have worked for two years on it It
embodies over 100 improvements on our prewar
Six. And most of them are made to add
endurance.
Never has a Mitchell model met with
a valmmiL Everv ear which troes out
is winning more men to it And every year,
with such a car, will add to its prestige.
To a man who is seeking a car in this
class it offers many new points to consider.
THE FUTURE TYPE
What we have done is this:
We have fixed new standards, part by
part, based on countless Mitchell records.
We brought in many specialists to help.
We have fixed new tests?exacting tests
?to prove and insure these standards.
We have developed a new Mitchell spirit
Every believes that these perfections
mark the future type of Six. Every workman,
tester and inspector feels his responsibility.

i MINIMIZING WEAR
We have added smoothness as well as
strength. By exacting methods we are minimizing
wear.
We have reduced power waste in the moter.
The crankshafts are twice balanced on
two new-type machines.
Gears are mated to exactness. Engines
are tested on electric dynamometers. Rear
axles are tested by electric apparatus. Transmissions
are tested in a sound-proof room.
We have spent over $300,000 on new
machinery and equipment to attain this finer
car.
CHEAPER OPERATION ,
/ Every effort has been made to cut down
cost of upkeep. A thermostat controls the
temperature of liquids, air and gas. A new
method secures better vaporization. Fuel
cost has been lessened.
Other improvements keep the car looking
aew. The body frame is extra-staunch. A *
new-type top has been adopted?a top which
won't grow shabby. Extra finish gives endur'
ing luster. Interlaced hair is used in the up
