went on record as giving its heart;
endorsement to industrial equal it;
without regard to color. The recog
nition of the negro laborer on th
same equality with the white cam
as a big surprise.
The night sessions were feature
by the address of President Jerom
Jones, of Atlanta, who heartily en
dorsed the league of nations. Th
decision to organize colored worker
as it would white workers was unani
mous. Prospects of a fight on th
. resolution vanished when delegate
heard speakers advance reasons fo
drawing no color line in organize
labor. The throwing of safeguard
| around the traveling public, the re
, duction of the high cost of livin
and the proper control of unfortu
I nate orphans, were some of th
worthy aims to which delegate
pledged their support in the adop
tion of strong resolutions calling fo
the hearty activities ot the variou
crafts in the creation of opinio

goals named.
The final meeting of the congres
convened Friday morning and wa
featured by the election of officer
and the discussion which were no
presented to the convention Thurs
day.

brought forth much discussion wa
the call for organized labor to pres
the work of forming unions in re
mote part of the States not yet con
taining organized bodies. Anothe
which was adopted gives the congres
| the power to designate the vice pres
idents of the body, one in each State
as men having power to press upo:
the Legislatures of the various State
all measures for the good of organ
ized labor, the expenses of such rep
resentatives to be paid from th
general fund.
