The Library committee of thej
Civic and Library association begs
to call the attention of the public to
the boxes placed in the drug stores
of the town to receive any contribution
which any one who enjoys
the privilege of the library feels
upon to give.
The association has undertaken to
pay, if possible, the librarian's salary
and incidental expenses, such as
fuel, etc, so that the entire appro
priation from the town may be used
in the purchase of books. It is
hoped that many will drop dimes
and nickles, and larger sumsi f possible,
in these boxes to assist in the
upkeep of the library.
The shelves of the library are so
empty as yet, and there are so many
thousand books that we long to see
upon them that we regret to use
any of the previous annual income
of $600.00 for anything hut books.
The library is free to all. but those
who really love hooks are urgently
requested to add their mite when
they piss the library contribution
boxes in the drug stores.
The committee wishes to say again
that suggestions for books desired,
in the library are earnestly invited.
