Mr and Mrs J F Wolff have begun
housekeeping in the residence
formerly occupied by Mr S Marcus
on West Main street. Since their
marriage last summer they have been
boarding at the Nelson house.
Because of attendance upon the
funeral of Rev Theodore Porter at
Charleston, Rev Dr Walter Ifitchell
was unable to fill his appointments
at the Episcopal church here Sunday
but will probably do so on the 28th
inst.

by the serious illness of their father,
Mr B F Thompson. Mr Carl Hornaday
of Elloree, S C, Mr Thompson's
grandson, is also here.
Mrs Selden Bryan, who was operated
upon in Richmond, Va, some
time ago, is recuperating at the
home of her father, Mr James Epps,
near town. When fully recovered,
she will return to Richmond, where
she is engaged in the work of a
deaconess.
Mrs A H Dobbin, who has been
spending some months with her
daughters, Mesdames J C Dobbin of
Philadelphia and L M Conrow of
Greencastle, Pa, arrived in Kingstreee
last week and will pass the
winter here with her daughter, Mrs
Hugh McCutchen.
Dr T L Friereon, a pellagra specialist
of Lynchburg, visited his sister,
Mrs T Olin Epps, and brother,
Dr D P Frierson, Saturday and Sun'?

Mr B F Thompson Seriously 111.
Mr B F Thompson was paralyzed
on his right side last Thursday afternoon
at the home of his son-in-law,
Mr W J Reddick. Mr Thompson was
sitting on the porch when stricken.
The stroke came so gradually that he
was able to talk for several hours
after he began, to feel it coming on
him. Friday morning his whole right
side was completely paralyzed, and
he has not been able to talk since.
His condition is considered serious,
more because?of his advanced age
than anything else. At this writing
he does not seem any better, except
that his mind seems a little clearer.

married to Mr J R Ritter, of Hastings,
Fla, yesterday morning about
10:30 at the Methodist parsonage,
Rev G T Harmon officiating. They
will leave tonight for Jacksonville,
Fla, and other points of interest in
the Southern part of that State.
