income gave $3,0Q0 to the fund,
when $60,000 or $65,000 would have
been conparatively a small donation,
while around the corner a young woman
who pounds a typewriter for the
munificent sum of $60 a month gave
her entire "rainy day" balance of
$100.
A manager of a fertilizer concern
gave $1, while the soda jerker in his
building gave all he had saved up,
which was $30.
