"I hope my statement will bring ; benefit to others," said Mrs L A Dillinger of Cayce, SC, a suburb of Columbia, as she began to tell on April 2.S of the great results Tanlac g^ve her. "I took three bottles of Tanlac and I'm free of all my ail ments now and I feel fine. I have not taken any mecticine since I quit taking Tanlac. I was so poor and thin and weak when I started taking it, but the medicine made me strong and hearty. I suppose I gained at least ten or fifteen pounds in weight. "When I began taking Tanlac I ' was suffering awfully with a nervous 1 stomach trouble and I was just so i nervous I could not hold a conversa- | tion with any one. I don't know why, but I just 'go all to pieces.' My appetite had almost gone and I 1 was awfully dizzy almost all the time. I thought, too, that something dreadful would happen to me , and lived in constant .dread. At times it felt as if my heart would ( jump out my body, too. Official dispatches today announced the destruction of the tank shfr Moreni. abandoned ablaze June 12 by her crew and armed guard after a desperate armed fight in the war zone, which cost the lives of four of her crew. Half an hour after the tanker had been sent to the bottom, her 43 sur- ^ vivors, including all the members of the armed guard, were picked up with their lifeboats by a passenger steamer. The commander had set them adrift after congratulating the American skipper upon his game fight and having the wounded men treated by the submarine's surgeon. The action of the submarine commander in treating his vanquished opponents with such unexpected courtesy was the subject of much comment. Germany has proclaimed her intention to treat British armed merchant crews as pirates. In this case even the naval bluejackets and their officers, properly prisoners of war, were set free, along with the merchant crews. Atlaata Has Lady Car Coupler. A good many young ladies of Atlanta have gone in for ambulance driving, wireless telegraphy and oth er forms of war-time service and are taking regular lessons in the classes organized by the National League for Woman's Service, but it remained for pretty Miss Surala Parker, a winsome lass with lots of black hair and hazel brown eyes, to blaze the way into the railroad yards. Diked out in overalls, blue shirt, workman's cap and with her sleeves rolled up, Miss Parker is learning the gentle art of coupling and uncoupling freight cars, throwing switch frogs.waving the engineer ahead and other details and features of the work of railroad trainmen. Foliowing her example, it is now proposed to organize in Atlanta a class of girls in general mechanics, including railroad work. Save Winter Oats For Seed. Washington, June 18:?Farmers in the South who have winter oats of ?ood quality are urged to save them for seed rather than to feed them. This crop was killed very generally over the South last winter, and jpecialists of the United States Department of Agriculture say the indications are that the seed supply will be very short. Many counties in the Southeastern States will have to purchase all their seed from other ocalities, and those favored'sections where a partial or full crop was produced should save every available aushel to meet this demand. Farmers are urged to feed corn or other jrain to work stock or to purchase lorthern-grown spring oats for feedng in order to save the winter oats for sowing. Because of the scarcity of winter jats of good quality, those who have 'l""" o?a nnito euro nrnfif hv gov Llinupic IJUIVS* uuiv vv |/? Vi?? *-> J vM . ng them for seed rather than feedng them. Farmers who do not know wherp they can sell seed oats should communicate with their county agent.the director of their Scate experiment station, or R A Oakley, . chairman,Committee on Seed Stocks, United States Department of Agriculture, Washington, D C. Present indications are that there will be a ready market for all good seed of this crop this year. Croup, Whoopinc Couch Relieved. Children's diseases demand preparedness.
