where he went to buy spring
and summer dry goods and millinery.

party was bound for Charleston.
Mr Everette Hinds, son of Mr
and Mrs C M Hinds, formerly of
this place, but now of Hendersonville,
N C, was a delegate from
Fruitland Institute to the Baptist
Student convention recently held in
Louisville, Ky.
Messrs Billie Britton and Charlie
Blakeley returned home Sunday after
soldiering on the Mexican border
for the past six months. We are
pleased to see these young men looking
none the worse for service.
Other Williamsburg boys are expected
to return within a fortnight.
Mr 0 P Barton, a valued member
of The Record force, is taking the
week off attending the great Carnival
and Msftlri Gras in New Orleans.
We venture the assertion that when
he returns he will know more about
the "Creole" city than some of the
descendants of a "casket girl" who
were born and reared there.
Miss Janle Brown Dead.
Miss Janie Brown,-half-sister of
Messrs R M and W M Vause.died at
the homeof the latter here lastThurs ,
day morning from a complication of |
troubles. She was past sixty years
of age and had been in ill health for
several months. Interment was
made Friday at Indiantown church,
