Bethel, October 16:?Rev and Mrs
D M Clark and children and Lonnie j
Wall of Olanta were visitors in our |
community Sunday.
Misses Jennie Lynn Allison and
Joe Bessie McElveen went to Kingstree
Saturday.
Mr and Mrs J P Chandler and children
and Mr Chandler's mother were
pleasant visitors at the home of Mr
and W H McElveen Sunday.
Messrs R S Burgess, W A Cooper,
Daniel and Letcher McElveen went
to Kingstree Saturday on business.
Miss Nettie Burgess has returned
home after spending awhile with
friends at Silver.
Messrs Ira and David Epps and
Reece Wilson made a flying trip to
Lake City Saturday afternoon.
A large crowd from around here
attended preaching at Hebron last
week.
Mrs W H McElveen and daughters,
Misses Jessie and Scott, spent
Thursday with relatives in the Hebron
section.
Miss Retha Burgess of Kingstree
spent Sunday with her parents, Mr
and Mrs R E Burgess.
A large crowd attended prayer
meeting out here Sunday night.
We love to see so many taking an
interest in it, and we hope they will
continue to do so. We want all the
old neoDle to come as well as the
?
young. It will meet here again on
the fifth Sunday night of this month.
We hope everybody will be able to
attend the fair from around here
this year. Last year it rained nearly
every day and kept some back
that would have gone if the weather
had been good. We hope all of the
school children can go.
Mr J D Wilson of Lake City was a
visitor in our community Monday.

TO AILING WOMEN.
A Little Sound Advice Will Help Many a
Sufferer in Kingstree
No woman should consider herself
healthy and well if the kidneys are
weak. Poisons that pass off in the
urine when the kidneys are well are
retained in the body when the kidneys
are disordered. This is the true
cause of many bearing-down pains,
lameness, backache, etc. Uric poisoning
also causes headaches, dizzy
spells,languor,nervousness and rheumatic
pain.
When suffering so,try Doan's Kidney
Pills. ?ou will get better as the
kidneys get better, and health will
return when the kidneys are well.
Let a fellow sufferer tell you about
Doan's Kidney Pills.
Mrs C M Chandler, Beauregard St,
l^ake Uty, S u, says: my kianeys
gave me considerable trouble. I had
pains in my bsck and sidesand could
not rest well. Mornings I was tired
and weak, and also suffered from
dizzy spells. The kidney secietions
passed irregularly. When friends
recommended Doan's Kidney Pills I
got some, and they relieved me of the
ailments."
