The baby show at the Uwana theater
last Wednesday and Thursday
nights attracted good audiences, especially
of fond daddies and devoted
mothers whose little ones made their
appearance, many for the first time,
on the canvas. The pictures were
unusually good.but we don't dare to
say whose child was the best looking.
Little Miss Frances Virginia Tolley
Is celebrating her second anniversary
today. She is not having a
birthday party for her little friends,
but she's having a good time keeping
all the members of the household
busy guarding against her
childish depredations. She is a real
girl baby, but a priceless jewel at
that.
Mr W G Mazyck of Charleston
officiated at the Episcopal church
here Sunday.preaching two excellent
sermons. This was his first visit to
Kingstree in many years, and he
noted vas^ changes and improvements
here. He had a number of
old friends among our people and
made many new ones, who await his
return with much pleasure.

store on Main street. The boxed
show windows have been changed so
as to allow passers-by to see into the
building, and also allow those inside
to look out on the street. In addition
to this, the change in the windows
affords a much better light from the
front,which aids materially in showing
up the store. Near the center of
the store a large platform, ten or
twelve inches above the floor, with
an attractive railing, has been erected
for the bookkeepers and the
transaction of the firm's clerical
work.

Seldom is seen a lovelier bride as

was charmingly gowned in

many handsome and useful gifts.
After congratulations the guests

and turkey. A most beautiully
decorated steeple-shaped cake
domed the center of the table.
May these occurrences when they
make "two souls with but a single
