Rev and Mrs P S McChesney and children left today for Martin's Point, where they expect to spend several weeks. In view of Mr McChesney's absence there will be no preaching at the Presbyterian church next Sunday but Sunday-school will be held at the usual hour. Scholarship and extrance examinations for the University of South Carolina, Clemson college and the College of Charleston will be held at the court house tomorrow, beginning at 9 a.m. These examinations were appointed for Friday, 14th inst, but I were prevented by the storm.
