X X Xt Francis J Pelzer,probably the richest man in South Carolina, died in Charleston, his native city, Friday. Had he lived until next Sunday, he would have been 90 years of age. For 50 years he had been a prominent cotton factor in Charleston and was also actively interested in the phosphate industry. He served several terms as Alderman of Charleston.
