Suttons, November:?The Thanksgiving
oolidays passed very quietly
in this section, huntine seemed to
be the slogan of the day. Some of

Miss Ruth Hinnant spent a few
days last week with relatives at Lake
City.
Mrs Lewis and son, Master
Bobbie of Olanta. visited relatives
here Thanksgiving.
Miss Esther Weaver of Lake City
spent the week-end very pleasantly
as the guest of Miss Mattie Jeffords.
We are sorry to note that Mr B P
Cooper, who has been critically ill
for several months, is gradually getting
worse. We learn he is to be
taken to Columbia today for treatment.

was here for awhile Thursday.
Mr and Mrs Wyatt I^ewis and
children of Lake City visited at the
home of Mr A W Graham several
days recently.

last week.
Mr and Mrs J D Cooper of Georgetown
are here for a few days with
relatives.
The trustees and patrons of the
Aimwell school should feel proud, as
they have the ensuing term under the
careful tutelage of Misses Lyde Kennedy
of Kingstree and Belle Collet
of Milledgeville, Ga, and we hope to
make to make this it's mo3t successful
term as they have now a* large
enrollment, and others keep "dropping
in."
Mr J M Blakeley of Andrews was
here to see his parents, Mr and Mrs
R D Blakeley, Sunday.
Mr Myric Newton of Sampit was
here several days ago. It seems
that there must be some special attraction
for the young widower.
Miss Sarah Lovell of Columbia is
here visiting friends.
The box party given at the Aimwell
school house last Friday night
was quite a succcess as the neat little
sum of $50.70 was raised. The
proceeds will be used in installing a
piano for the benefit of the school.
Mr S B Ogburn of Zeb who frequently
has business in this section,
was here a few days last week.
Messrs Press Ogburn and Will
Blakeley made a pleasant call at
Bryan Sunday afternoon.

news. Cold weather and indisposition
