Kennedy--Rodgers
At the home of the bride's sister,
Mrs J C Kelley, on east Main street,
Miss Eunice St Claire Kennedy was
married to Mr LeGrand D Rodgers,
in the presence of about 150 invited
guests, at 8:30 o'clock yesterday ev.
ening.
The home of Mr and Mrs Kelley
was prettily decorated for the occasion, and
the simple, impressive ceremony
of the Baptist church was
performedlby the bride's pastor. Rev

The bride was becomingly gowned
in a traveling suit with hat and
gloves to match and never appeared
more beautiful than she did last
night.
Music was furnished by Miss
May me Green of Lake City at the
piano and Mr Dave Silverman with
the violin. Miss Selma Thorn sang
sweetly as the bride and groom entered
the parlor.
The bride and groom are well
known in this community and are
both very popular among a large
circle of friends in Williamsburg
and Florence counties. Miss Kennedy
was at one time employed as
bookkeeper in the Bank of Williamsburg,

Rodgers is one of the most popular
young: men in the county and is now
connected with one of the large cotton
oil companies in the capacity of
cotton seed buyer on the local market.
He is a member of the town
council, and his friends are numberless.
Immediately after the ceremony
the bride'and groom left for points
in Florida * where they will spend 1
their honeymoon.
The presents received by this
charming] couple were numerous
and valuable, attesting the popularity
and esteem in which they are
held by a large circle of acquaintances.
WORDS FROM HOME.
Statements Tbat May Be Investigated.
Testimony of Kingstree Citizens.
When a Kingstree citizan comes
to the front, telling his friends and .
neighbors of his experience, you can
rely on his sincerity. The statements
of people residing in far away
places do not command your confidence.
Home endorsement is the
kind that backs Doan's Kidney Pills.
Such testimony is convincing. Investigation
proves it true. Below is
a statement of a Kingstree resident.
No stronger proof of merit can be
had.
S A Nettles, ex-hotel prop, Mill
St. Kingstree, says: "Several years
ago I hurt my back, lifting a heavy
piece of iron pipe. After that my
kidneys acted irregularly, and my
backed pained me severely. I was
so sore and lame I could hardly
stoop. The kidney secretions passed
too freely at times, and again
scanty. The least cold I got settled
on my kidneys and made me worse.
When a friend recommended Doan's
Kidney Pills I used them as directed
and they relieved all symptoms of
kidney trouble."

When Baby Has the Croup.
When a mother is awakened from 1
sound sleep to find her child who has
gone to bed apparently in the best
of health struggling for breath, she
is naturally alarmed. Yet if she can
keep her presence of mind and give
Chamberlain's Cough Remedy every
ten minutes until vomiting is produced,
quick relief will follow and
the child will drop to sleep to awaken
in the morning as well as ever.
