South Carolina farmers have in the regulations of the State Crop Pest Commission a valuable protection against the introduction of cotton; anthracnose into their fields in seed bought for planting. The law requires that shippers of seed for planting file with the commission an affidavit setting forth that the seed is from a field free of anthracnose and shippers are also required to attnoK tn thpir sppd tacrs informing the buyer that they have a permit I to sell under this section.
