a few miles away. The famous
Black river is her corporate boundary
line on the west, while the famous
old Santee is easily accessible
on the south, along the banks of
which, deer and other game abound.
Kingstreeis the county seat of Williamsburg
county, one of the oldest
and best counties in the State. It

the population with artesian
water from a six-inch flowing well,

There is no one tiling that can speak
louder for the development of Kingstree
within the last four years than
her churches, three of which (Methodist,
Presbyterian and Baptist) have
been completed and opened for
worship within that time, also an
Episcopal Chapel. These churches
have been erected at a cost of approximately
8100,000.

plant. It is the best tobacco
market in the Pee Dec section,
has four large sales warehouses,
prize houses and other facilities for
the prompt and efficient handling
of tobacco, all of which add materially
to Uncommercial status of the
town.
As a cotton and cotton seed market,
Kingstree ranks among the best
inland markets in the State; her
railroad facilities are unsurpassed,
affording fast through freight service
daily on direct lines to the leading
markets of the country. It you are
seeking a home in a live town surrounded
by one of the best farming
sections in the Southland, where
farm products grow from January
to January as luxuriantly and profusely
as roses and lillies do on the
Pacific Slopes in May and June, you
need not look beyond Kingstree.
Truly the lands surrounding Kingstree
are unsurpassed in quality for
the production of cotton, corn, tobacco,
grain and garden truck.
