Mr jF* j$*}4^ The contest to select the most beautiful young lady in Williamsburg to represent this county in the State-wide contest for the selection of the prettiest girl in South Carolina, who will be crowned "Queen" of the Harvest Jubilee, which is to be held in connection with the annual State Fair in Columbia this fall, is on. The object of the contest has been explained fully in The Record; but a thing can never be explained too much, so we will again outline the plans for the contest. As generally known, it has been decided to hold a "Harvest Jubilee" in connection with the State Fair, which will be held as usual in Columbia this fall. The committee in charge of the Harvest Jubilee wishes to select by popular vote the most beautiful young lady in South Carolina, who will be crowned "Queen" of the Harvest Festival. The young lady will be equipped with an elaborate trousseau, befitting her royal grace and beauty, and she will sit in state on a handsomely decorated float in the parade, which will take place * i-l TT a. T?1_ *1 _ _ m Ml during uie narvesi auonee. one win be attended by exquisite maids of honor, and chevaliers will pay her homage. As stated already, there will be a State-wide contest to select the "Queen" of the Harvest Jubilee. One young lady from each county of the State will be entered in the contest, making 44 contestants in all. Photographs of these 44 young ladies will be turned over to a committee of artists, who will select the one they consider the most beautiful.
