A dispatch from Baltimore Mon day says: The Seaboard Air Line Railwa: will be consolidated with the Caro lina, Atlantic and Western Railwa: under the corporate name of th< Seaboard Air Line Railway Company The Carolina, Atlantic and Westeri Railway is a recent consolidation o the North and South Carolina, thi Charleston Northern, and the Soutl Carolina Western railroads, oper ating a total of 416 miles. Th< Carolina, Atlantic and Western Rail way recently acquired the George town and Western railroad, operat ing from Lanes to Georgetown; anc . from Andrews to the Pee-Dee River S C, a distance of seventy miles The Charleston Northern Railway is the line recently completed, con necting the North and South Caro lina railroad with the citv of Char leston, giving the Seaboard Air Line entrance into Charleston, and now becoming a part of the main line oi the consolidated system. The new terminals at Charleston are admir able both as to location and facilities The line will be extended fronr Charleston to Savannah by the im mediate construction of eighty-fw miles of railroad with a maximurr grade of only three-tenths of ont per cent.
