White Oak, May 10:?We have
had fine seasons here the past few
weeks for setting tobacco and nearly
all the farmers have out a full
crop of the golden weed. The hail
storm of last Tuesday did no serious
damage in this immediate neighborhood,
but we have heard of several
persons near here who had to plant

JUDGE FOR YOURSELF.
Which is Better?Try an Experiment
or Profit by a Klogstree Citizen's
Experience.
Something new is an experiment.
Must be proved to be as represented.
The statement of a manufacturer
is not convincing proof of merit.
But the endorsement of friend3 is.
Now supposing you had a bad
back,
A lame, weak, or aching one,
Would you experiment on it?
You will read of many so-called
cures.
Endorsed by strangers from faraway
places.
It's different when the endorsement
comes from home.
Easy to prove local testimony.
Read this Kingstree case:
Mrs N J Lynch, Main St, Kingstree,
says: "I had dull pains in my

that my kidneys were out of order.
When I heard of Doan's Kidney
Pills, I began using them. They relieved
the pains in my back and
benefited me in every way."

Japan Arraigns Germany.
The Japanese Government has sent
to Great Britain and the United
States messages of sympathy on the
loss of life in the Lusitania disaster.
The Japanese press bitterly arraigns
Germany for the sinking of the passenger
ship. The Asahi Shimbun
characterizes it as a "massacre of
innocents," certain to excite the
"righteous indignation of Americans."
Other papers declare that the
time has come to "remove forever
the German menace."
