Yesterday prices of tobacco began

A real-estate company is conducting
a sale on the outskirts of town
for colored people only. A feature
of the sale is that bales of cotton
will be accepted at ten cents the
pound. It seems that cotton is getting
to be as good as ready money

Mrs. Ella F. Flagler Dead.
Mrs Ella F Flagler, wife of Mr A
W Flagler,whose home is situated on
the Cades road, six miles north of
Kingstree.died there Friday night as

which she had suffered several days,
before. The deceased was one of the
best known and most beloved ladies
in this county. She was a member
of the Presbyterian church and a
devout Christian.
Mrs Flagler is survived by her
husband, Mr A W Flagler,and eleven
children: Mesdames J P Wheeler,
J C Kinder and C E St Amand, of
Kingstree; Mrs C M James, Centerville,
Ala; Mrs Gary Cox of Cades;
Messrs R T Flagler, W G Flagler,
Eugene Flacrler. Cleve Flaeler. Mel
vin Flagler and Dessie Flagler. Besides
these, a host of relatives,
among whom are several greatgrandchildren,
residing throughout
the South, mourn her loss.
Funeral services were held at the
Presbyterian church at 4 o'clock Saturday
afternoon, conducted by Rev
P S McChesney. Immediately following
the services the remains were
aid to rest in the old Williamsburg
:emetery.
