Bridges are also in a dangerous condition. No work has been done on this road for two years, he says, and requests that the Road Engineer look into the matter. BUILDING IMPROVEMENT. Despite Depressed Conditions. New Houses Going Up. The many friends of Mr and Mrs LeRoy Lee will rejoice with them over being again mo3t comfortably domiciled in their new home, which, to say the least, is one of the most beautiful and most conveniently arranged dwellings in Kingstree. The building is not entirely new, but the old house has been made over and is so vastly improved upon that a stranger would not recognize the present structure as a part of the former stuccoed building that occupied the same location. The work of transforming the old residence into the new was done by Mr Chas Singleton, the contractor, who has a number of handsome residences to his credit in Kingstree. We congratulate Mr and Mrs Lee upon their handsome new home and trust that for many years to come they will be spared the inconvenience, worry and expense of again re modeling. The residence of Mr and Mrs M L Allen, on Academy street, has also recently undergone important changes, whereby a new bedroom, diningroom, kitchen and bathroom have been added, also a new front and back porch, all of which adds much to the appearance, comfort and convenience of this home, which is one of the landmarks of primitive Kingstree, it having been the town residence of Mr and Mrs S McBride Scott, parents of Mrs Allen, during the latter years of these good people. Mr E C Epps' residence on Brooks street has recently undergone a remodeling process at the hands of Contractor Singleton, and improvements are noted both in the way of BIG VOTE POLLED IN WILLIAMSBURG.
