Despite low prices, bean shipments continue in great quantities, truck of other kinds is moving daily and the scene at the freight depot nowadays is a truly business-like one. When the long-continued drought is broken a general improvement in the crops is anticipated; howbeit, many of our farmers are getting rather despondent over present conditions. Miss Maggie McClam is at home from Limestone College. Mr M K Gravely is making extensive additions to his sales warehouse building. This, when completed, will make the number and size of tobacco warehouses in Lake City second in none in the State. All one can hear and talk intelligent^ this week is "commencement"; but, as one is a high school graduate but once in a lifetime, kindly allow the indulgence. LBN. Care for Stonacb Disorders. To look on the bright side of life and its affairs with an enthusiastic j belief that everything is all right and for the best is ideal. This is especially true as it applies to those who come into contact with the sick. A physician, above all men, should be an optimist?ready to stimulate hope even though he may not have it himself. Hopefulness in the countenance and optimism in the words and and actions of the physician are as sunshine in the sickroom; they stimulate hopefulness of recovery in the sick and a courage that often has potent influence for good. Even when recovery is not possible, the Journal of the American Association thinks that good, not harm, is done. They make life worth living while it lasts.
